Novo Asian Food Hall Opens Friday at The Terminal
From Vietnamese street food and Korean baked goods to Japanese whiskey, there’s something for everyone at the new Strip District venue.
Want to try food and drink from the other side of the world? Visit Novo Asian Food Hall in the Strip District, where seven Pittsburgh-based vendors offer authentic culinary offerings and a central bar is stocked with unique spirits.
The Terminal’s 8,600-square-foot venue at 1931 Smallman St. opens Friday from 4 to 10 p.m. Beginning Saturday, hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
The brainchild of award-winning restaurateur Alex Tang of Mola in East Liberty, Novo features his brand of fresh hand rolls and rice bowls.
Guests can also order boba tea and savory ramen from Teachana, spicy kimchi from Korea Garden 2, deep-fried goodness at Kung Fu Chicken, aromatic pho from Tan Lac Vien Vietnamese bistro, Filipino street food at Lolo’s Kusina and pastries, compliments of Sumi’s Cakery.
Place your order at a kiosk or simply approach your preferred vendor stall.
In addition to the dining concepts, Novo houses a central bar specializing in fun cocktails made with rare spirits, including the city’s largest selection of makgeolli, a Korean sparkling rice wine.
If you want a souvenir (aside from a full belly) to remember your visit, there’s a POP MART Robo Shop in the 20th Street Passageway filled with iconic toys such as Molly, Hirono, The Monsters, SKULLPANDA and many others.
