StoryCorps Mobile Tour is stopping in Pittsburgh this month, and you can sign up to tell your story inside the MobileBooth.

Both in-person and virtual recording options are offered inside the mobile Airstream trailer; recordings should be between two people who know each other well or would like to know each other better.

“We welcome participants to bring in reflections of living in Pittsburgh and being part of this community,” said Lea Zikmund, director of StoryCorps’ Mobile Tour, in an email. “What has changed over the years? What memories do you have here that you want to document?”

The MobileBooth, which launched in 2005, is stopping in 10 cities this year. StoryCorps recordings are collected in the U.S. Library of Congress and broadcast weekly on NPR. The MobileBooth is set up outside of Pittsburgh’s NPR station, WESA, 67 Bedford Square, South Side.

“WESA is a wonderful community resource that provides so many services to their local community,” Zikmund says. “We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with them on this special project.”
